Yeah, fighting violence with violence never works. All they're doing is destroying their communities and harming innocent bystanders. Breaking into buildings, looting, and setting buildings and cars on fire is, in my opinion, stupid. Once you start doing these things, then you take the attention away from the actual issue. And why throw rocks at firemen trying to do their job and put out these fires so they don't spread? What did they do?
I think either two or three protestors have already been killed, and two police officers somewhere in California have been shot as well (one of them died). We don't need more lives being lost. Protest peacefully.
