Is it normal to not want people sniffing your food? Like, I'll turn the corner and there she is, her face hovering over my lunch. It bugs me and she says it's just a pet peeve of mine. Is this logical or not?

That is perfectly logical that you don't want her doing that. That's just plain weird.

I didn't know it was irrational to not like someone sniffing your food for no apparent reason.

She thought it was. To be fair, she was just smelling it, but it grosses me out. She hasn't done it in a while now.

With the current situation what with Covid going around, I would of thrown the nearest, heaviest object not nailed and then declared it was now their food
