For Kieran he probably got his hand repaired, but it doesn't work as well. He'd always have this reminder of what happened. And he'd blame Ander for his hand and for Linnus thinking less of him -

Also what if they tried persuading Aislet to help them? After all, she was kidnapped by Linnus

I'm not entirely sure how Aislet got to be who she was, but it's safe to say that she doesn't exactly belong with everyone else so kidnapping is a good theory
I'll see what I can do to try to develop her character more -
Well we should probably do that plot we thought of to explain the magic defenses and Aislet and all that first. We were going to have Linnus steal laws magic from that other world the two agents were sent to
