For the eyes it was either that or give him really long eyelashes. And then the rest of them either made him look sad or evil.
Same with the eyebrows, those were the only ones that didn't make him look sad or evil.
And the hair was another problem. -

Canonically, Iris is younger than Lilac, and their mother's name is Lavender! I don't know about their dad, but he was Linnus scum and forced them into that kind of life, which Iris took to and Lilac did not.
