Well, it's scales would stop the sunlight issue. And as for breathing fire, I don't think that quite counts as sunlight, I mean, a vampire can stand before a torch or a bonfire alright. Though only one of my dragons can breath fire, and I wasn't planning on passing the ability to the vampire dragon

I give each of my dragons one unique ability. Nylith can breath fire, Delpheon can see miles away if she focuses, and Vaneer can incorporate any technology he finds into his body

What're they like?

Nylith is more shy. She was converted, and she has memories of her time before being under my care. Delpheon is more bloodthirsty, more aggressive. She's the assassin of my forces. Then there's Vaneer, who serves as the infantry and the front lines. He tries to keep his emotions in check, but every once in awhile, he'll find a piece of tech or a artifact that he's been looking for and he'll act like a kid who just got a new toy
