My brother's 16. I'm younger than him by three years and I sneak on forums and he knows it but doesn't care. Does he have any social media or sneak on forums? Nope. That idiot XD

I don't think that's an idiotic move. It just means he has something alot of people lack. Alot of irl friends and a disinterest in the online world
