My mom gave me a few pointers on how to wlk in them, then showed me how to. So I tried, and she said I almost have it.
Yeah, now I just need endurance. -
It really does just take a lot of practice, but don't worry, you'll get it! Just don't take too big of steps and you'll be fine
-
Ok.
I also didn't fall flat on my face when I first started, like I had expected, so that's good. -
How high are the heels?
Sorry, Axel, I'm taking over your thread! -
2 or 3 in?
Yeah, sorry -
They're wedges, though.
-
Okay, that's not too bad. I always find that that height though is a little awkward, at least for me anyway. I'm more comfortable walking in 4-5in heels.
Can you stand on your toes for five seconds when you have them on without losing your balance? -
Ohhh wedges are better. There's more stabilization
-
I tried walking in the heels on my toes across the kitchen, and made it across, does that count?
-
Sure that works!
But yeah, honestly, just keep practicing and then before you know it, you won't even really feel a difference between walking in heels vs flats. Extend up and don't over bend your knees cause that looks awkward -
Ok. And I've heard that it's usually your calves that hurt, but for me it's my shins.
-
That's interesting. I think it depends on how stretched out certain muscles are. Cause for me, I never had pain in my shins or calves because I was an Irish dancer, so I was always on my toes when dancing so I had built up muscle in that area and was constantly stretching out my calves. My feet hurt the most when I wear heels (but not till like 4-5 hours in). So I think it depends on the person. Might want to try just doing simple strength exercises just as standing on one foot and writing your name out (or the alphabet) with your other foot by having it just slightly above the ground
-
Ok. Everyone's just like, "It's so weird that it's your shins hhurt. It's always the calves!" But I really haven't been stretching much, due to being inside all the time and not really excersising. And I'll do that.
Ok, Axel, you can have your thread back. I'm sorry. -
no apologies needed i love you two so you’re permitted to take over 💕✨

(Up to witchy biz. No, actually about to make Jacob a new account.)
