Thread Topic: Come, and Join Me
-
I think when we all first join, our instinct is to be like "I need to make a bunch of friends!" So we usually act kind of obnoxious and are more likely to get in arguments as a result of that
-
Yeah, there were some that I wasn't too comfortable with, and some that I didn't think were so offensive. I hate drama, so I try to stay out of arguments.
-
When I first joined, the Lounge and the Stage confused me, so I stayed out of it. I mainly stayed in the Library.
-
Ah.
When I joined, literally nobody came into my threads. I had like an introduction thread, and I let it die. It took three threads before anyone really noticed me. -
I think we should just let it die down for now and try to learn and move forward from this. I understand your frustrations, but as of right now, there is nothing that can be done about it, so the best thing to do is to try to keep it in the past and not let these things fester in our minds because that's just going to make everyone more angry and upset
-
If I could find some of the old threads that I first posted in, then I would share them with you to read so you could see how stupid and immature everyone was back then.
We used to not have this many forums either. The Lounge was called "Offbeat", we had a "Psychology" forum, and I think a "Religion and Politics" so that was combined -
I didn't make an introduction thread. I sorta just dived in, I guess. I made this thread in January, a bit after I made this account. I accidentally logged out of my old account and couldn't remember the password. I used to think that threads were dead when they hit the second page and that it would be awkward for me to post in them again.
-
I've noticed how some older users are sometimes like, "Wait, there's a this-and-this forum?"
-
Yeah, I didn't make an introduction either. I didn't even know about the forums until a couple months after I made my account. And then the first thread I posted in would be what is now in the Library, and it was me and three other girls creating a project called the "GotoQuiz Grammys" in which we made a quiz that had nominations for the best one in each category
-
Lol yeah, cause we used to only have six forums I believe
-
We didn't have a designated forum for role playing, so everyone would just do it in Offbeat/The Lounge so within five minutes of posting a thread, it was possible that your thread was already on page two
-
I didn't know about the forums until I made an account. It was the only way I found to make an account. So I'd take quizzes that had "Shoutouts to So-and-so!" and I'd be confused at how other users knew each other, and the jokes they made in the comments that were obviously inside jokes, and things like that. But I'm honestly glad I didn't make an account when I found this site.
-
When did you find this site?
-
. . . The summer I turned 12, maybe? I was obsessed with the Septimus Heap series, and would take quizzes on it, and this was one of the sites that would pop up. Eventually I found out that there were more quizzes, and I remember during winter break I'd just go through people's accounts taking their quizzes. I never understood what the posts at the bottom of the page were either.
