Because everyone will forget about it?
I remembered when all the meetings were last week, but this week . . . I went to one of them yesterday, though. There's something. -
Yup. Plus, they aren't teaching us anything.
Well at least you are going to some classes. -
Well, they are teaching us things for math and religion. Everything else, it's like, here's what you have to do, do it, you're a smart human being.
-
My school is basically saying "here is some review. We'd like you to do it, but we can;t make you. Plus there is no grade so anything you do will be for nothing."
-
So have nothing to do, and get a free pass to the next grade? We're still getting grades on our things. My teachers say that they don't like this online learning, because most of the homework isn't getting back in. They also said that grades are dropping, but they also said that they understand why.
When you start missing school. -
They gave us work, there is just nothing and no one making sure we are doing it. I'm sorry you are getting graded. My teachers basically just said to turn in our missing work and they'll grade it and whatever grade is left after the final date for missing work passes is what we get for the year.
-
This whole thing is going to effect a bunch of people for education. Like Preschool to 2nd grade, 8th graders, high schoolers that are going to college, and people in college that are trying to get all their degrees.
-
What I am curious about it What is going to happen next year? I can tell you with schools doing what mine is doing, the students are not doing the work. And then there are the schools that have just cancelled school and are giving the kids a free pass to next year. How many kids are going to be behind at the beginning of the year? How rushed are the teachers going to be to teach us what we were supposed to learn this year next year along with our actual academic stuff?
-
That's exactly what I've been wondering.
But in the high school I'll be going to, you learn on your own level. You don't need t be left behind. And they only want you at the high school if you want to learn. So I don't think it will effect that high school as much, but I think they will have to teach more things than they usually do. -
For me, I don't think I'll have an issue. I've always been amazing at english, latin is easy, Orchestra doesn't require much, and I have no math classes next year. I'm doubling up on science. Plus, how hard can government be? I should have it easy next year. But my friends are not going to be as lucky. Plus, once I go to college I'll have to take math. So my corona-f---ed-me-over year is two years away.
You are really smart, I think you'll be fine n your highschool. -
Yep. I've always felt like I'm being held back. It's one of the reasons I hate doing group work, because I can't suffer fools.
-
I usually end up doing all the work when I have to work in groups because I'm the only one who actually knows what to do.
-
YES! they're either too lazy to do the work, or they don't understand it. When they don't understand it, then I have to put it in the simplest terms possible, and they still don't understand a word that I'm saying.
-
Or maybe they are too lazy to do it so they play stupid.
We have been given out judgements. What do you think of them? -
I have seen.
Knitted gloves?
I mean, I do have an old soul, but still.
