It's been okay. Each time I get up to leave, she meows in an objective tone, as if to say 'Stay. ' I might be spoiling her. She's currently wrapped up in a blanket, purring away on my lap.

Same. I feel they understand me more than most people at points. I can't believe my oldest one currently is ten now, followed by her daughter who is eight.

She is. Lovable as hell, too. I raised her since she was a few weeks old. Someone had abandoned her, my mother's friend had brought her over, and I was instantly attached to her. Since then, I think of her as my little daughter.
