Thread Topic: Should adult thieves be publicly paddled?

  I'm wondering what others think about this. Would it help lower crime if thieves knew a paddling was waiting for them. Could it help raise money for the community to do it in a public meeting place and have people pay $1 each to watch? Or would that be too embarrassing and nerve-wracking and should just be done in the courtroom? Or not at all?
