I was thinking of possible schedules for all my years at high school and I have questions for all who have taken honors and AP courses. How many is two much?
I'm taking three or four honors courses next year (freshman year so shouldn't be too hard). Is that too many? My French teacher told me that normal French 2 is too easy so I'm taking French 2 Honors.
Is three AP courses too much? I've never taken AP courses so I have no idea. I'm pretty sure four is too much though.
Please respond in the next 1.5 years (hopefully sooner). I need help on 11th grade.
Sincerely me. -
In my school, freshman students are not allowed to take AP classes. Because it was way too hard. So I would wait until junior year. Also remember, you get work for summer in each AP class.
I wouldn't take too many honors, that is dependent on the teacher on how hard it is. I especially wouldn't do too many during freshman year. -
At my hs, we had to wait until Junior year to take AP classes. I'm not sure what your academic history is, but most AP courses are pretty easy... and then there's AP Bio and the AP math courses.
I took two in Senior year as both were two semester courses. Junior year I took one. Two at the same time is doable. It depends on the total workload of your classes and how difficult they are. -
But one good advice is to not underestimate AP courses. They are college level courses and many are dual enrollment.

I’m not in high school anymore, but freshman year is an important year you don’t really want to screw up. Don’t overdo it and stress yourself out.
I only took AP classes uhhh.. Junior year and senior year. -
Thanks for all the help. It's nice to get advice from people who've gone through high school already.

People can still reply by the way.
