I got up this morning, clueless again on what day it was. I did my chores, and for once, I wanted to watch TV, but guess what? Nothing was on TV! Now I remember why I don't watch TV often. -

I had the weird conversation of liking jerks with one of my brothers last night. It's so awkward when he's downing the character I'm strangely content with liking. Like, I like Dark Samus, who is obviously bad. I'm the only one saying "Yay, Dark Samus!" Nobody likes her because she was a lab-created monster. Inside, I'm kind of like "whatever", but it's a little awkward to be the only one on the jerks' side.

I'm the only one in my household who likes Metroid and Metal Gear. I've always liked Metal Gear, but my brothers don't like Metal Gear Solid, the series it turned into today, while I'm kinda into it.
Everyone's had an attitude towards Metroid for multiple reasons, while I didn't really care. I just thought it was cool to play as a girl, and have a different game to play than Mario or Sonic. -

I don't like it when people try to make me like or not like something because of the way they feel about it. My brothers subtly try to make me stop liking Metroid and Metal Gear, but at least they tolerate me playing it.
It's kinda like if I tried to put you down for playing games about zombies just because I don't. I wouldn't do that because we just have different tastes. It doesn't make you a bad person; we're just different. -

Yeah, I mean, it's just a game. It's not like I'm doing what the game does in real life!
I think my dad doesn't mess with me about it even though he doesn't like it either because he wants me to start making my own decisions about that kind of stuff. -
