It’s about a princess that has to live undercover in a common world in order to learn how to be a kind, honest, loyal, hard working ruler so she can properly take her place as queen.

No in that movie the commoner knew very well who the princess was. In this one the princess is undercover. I watched that movie and there are a lot of differences, I’m just too lazy to list them.

BTW The plot is different because Princess Protection program is about a princess that’s in danger from an enemy kingdom. The main character of this plot isn’t in danger she just needs to learn how to be a good leader. There is a bit of a mean girls element too where the three rich girls are trying to peer pressure her into ditching her new best friend.
