Awkward is listening to the parents of the person you're staying with talk about how their daughter is getting fat and will get even fatter because of her family genetics. That explains why she's so skinny because her parents constantly taunt her with the idea she'll be obese so she just turned herself into a walking skeleton.

You know, I never really knew there were so many layers to this girl. I kind of understand why she acts the way she does now and was so attached to her ex. It's not because she loved him it's because without him she can't go anywhere or do anything. She's just confined inside her house surrounded by everything she wants but no social skills or interactions.
