how do i get my grandma to understand im atheist and i don't want to go to church when i have a lot of projects

Ask her what's more important to God. Shoving her own opinions down your throat despite your opinions, or spending your time progressing on personal goals so you can enjoy your life.

Well... If she thinks church cures swearing then she's beyond reason. What did your parents say about this?

Church won't help somebody with that. I know from experience. If I was there, I would love to talk to her, but also we both live in "The Bible Belt", so I think the people who live here think church cures everything.

she made a point my crush MIGHT go to church but idk I don't wanna go anyway

Hey so I agree with you to an extent. No, I don't think you should be forced to go to church. It's your choice what you want to believe in, and how you live your life. And being forced into that is not right.
But at the same time, you're also asking the question of which is more important: time devoted to yourself or to your grandma. And if the answer is always yourself, it gets kinda selfish. So live for others, and love people no matter how annoying. I would personally suggest just at least going for your grandma, to show you love her. And your relationship will be stronger. But again, it's your choice.
And going to church will not cure swearing. But, as a Christian and someone who has a relationship with God, I personally don't want to swear. I don't want to displease God. So, knowing God makes me want to not swear, but just going to church won't do that.
