Thread Topic: I'm confused...

I'm learning how to play Thinking out Loud on the piano. I'm using a digital piano so I could play it for my parents. The keys are too small so I make mistakes a lot. When I told mom this she told me to wait until I get a real piano to play it for them.
The only way they could get me a piano is if we won the lottery because we don't have the room for a Piano. Or the money. So saying when I get a real piano is like saying they'll hear my song when pigs fly. Does this mean my mom doesn't want to hear my progress so far? -
And please don't move this to the ballroom. This is about something going on between me and my mom that I need advice on. My friends won't see it if you move it. I know it involves a Piano. But this is a situation of not understanding the meaning of someone's phrase.

Anyone?

It doesn't mean your parents don't want to hear it, it means they want to wait until 1.) You can play it better on an actual piano 2.) You can play it better on the digital piano.

Dork NoviceIt doesn't necessarily mean that she doesn't want to hear your progress, but she could be waiting for the special day to hear you play it on an actual piano. Believe it or not, watching your child play an orchestral instrument can bring tears to someone's eyes.
She may just want to wait and make it special, but..
She also may not give a freak and is trying to let you down easily. -
Well I don't think they'll ever get me a Piano... They want to... But they also want to get me a phone and win the lottery. Those aren't happening either.

But thanks anyway for your comments. I'm probably just over thinking this.
