It's an old game so that's ok. It wasn't very popular anyway. xD
Long ago, an evil god named Malpercio cursed humanity and swallowed the ocean. He drowned on the very water he swallowed. After his death his body was split between 5 major parts- head, body, chest, arms, and legs. The world was broken up into several pieces and the continents began to float.
Mankind grew wings called wings of the heart. There's a saying that people with malformed wings have malformed hearts.
A youth named Kalas sets out to avenge the death of his grandfather. Kalas has one wing and a winglet (an artificial wing his grandfather made for him) At the same time a young woman named Xelha starts her journey to stop the ambitions of Emperor Geldoblame who wishes to ressurect Malpercio by unsealing all 5 parts (each in the 5 known continents) -

You visit all the nations trying to prevent the ressurection of Malpercio. Along the way you meet the leaders of each nation amd gain their help to stop the emperor's ambitions.
While doing so you get a few new members in your motley crew. In Diadem, the land of clouds,you go to a fishing village where the river has flooded the highway. The locals say it's because of the amount of strangers visiting that caused the flood. There you meet Gibari and Lyude. Gibari is a fisherman who doesn't heed to local legends as he views them as stupid superstition.
Lyude is an imperial ambassador who was exhiled from the empire and marooned on Diadem because he refused to help in a military operation called Operation sweep. Operation sweep was a horrible operation where the empire invaded a nearby city called Azha, killed women, children, and men with no remorse. They razed houses and claimed the town as their own. The people of Azha are now citizens of the empire but are treated as subhuman.
tldr you get gibari to help you, meet diadem's king. his castle is under attack by the empire, lyude tries to stop the empire from attacking, but they have a sniper shoot diadem's king. reaching the final straw lyude helps you fight against his own country. The king, Ladehkan survives. (the sniper failed to kill him on purpose as the empire just wanted to sully their relationships. The empire wants war but hasn't openly attacked the other nations yet.)
You go to the next island and meet a woman named Savyna. Savyna is an aloof woman who claims to have been a mercenary. Lyude watches her fight and recognizes her tactics to be that of an imperial soldier. You meet the nation's leader Queen Correlia. She agrees to help you and assist Diadem.
You go to the next nation Mira having succesfully gained one of Malpercio's parts (Che). Mira is caught in a dimensional rift. You get lost in the rift, and get guided to the exit by a weird little "guy" who refers to themselves as the Great Mizuti. (Mizuti can tell lies but you can't ever lie to Mizuti xP) In Mira you meet Melodia, the niece of Duke Calbren, Mira's leader. Che goes missing shortly after. Suspicion grows in the group. You find out Melodia has been kidnapped. You rescue her and meet ger grandfather. He has been charged with protecting Bo, Malpercio's body. Bo is unsealed.
You move onto Alfard, the imperial continent. You go to the capital Mintaka. The citizens of Mintaka are taught that it is their duty to rule the subhumans of other nations.
You visit Azha, where He is sealed.
(That's all I remember rn because it's been ages since I've seen the whole story and I abridged stuff for time) -
