So there's this guy
He's in my creative writing class, and I could tell from day 1 that he was a good writer. But me being shy, I never said hi
Sadly, I never got to see his writing firsthand since we were never put into a group together.
We had an assignment the other day to post to a discussion board a list of our "bests". (i.e. best line, best opening, best journal entry, etc.) And he posted a very long explanation of all his best pieces, and he included the works themselves in a word document.
Curious me, I actually read every piece. I was pretty blown away by what a great writer he is. I'm too wowed to be jealous lol
So I replied to his post on the discussion board and geez guys I wrote a letter. My reply was stupid long, and it was a bit embarassing to put myself out there on something super public, but I felt like his work deserved some attention.
He replied and was so happy to get a thorough response. Said I made his day, and well it makes me happy to make people happy.
We also have another assignment where we have to revise one of our old manuscripts and ask another student on their thoughts. And we could pick any student. So I was thinking of asking him for his opinion on my revised image manuscript. I was literally typing him a message when I got a message from him. He asked if I wanted to do an exchange of manuscriots with him for revision! The same thought I had. How great is that?

I'm attempting to write a song, and I didn't even start the day thinking I would, but I'm randomly waking up with ideas.
Kinda fun actually. I mean I tried writing a song for the first time months ago, I think sometime last year, and I gave up on it. But I'm feeling pretty good atm. I got to chorus pretty much down, all chords and lyrics.
I want to get used to playing it on piano now -
