Dude, it's been proven again and again that people are not born talented. Practice ia the key. That's what I tell myself. Now, someone may acquire skill along the way (as we are all products of experience), but you could argue that that counts as practice.

Genetics don't concern talents
The most they can do is pass down stuff that makes doing other stuff easier
Idk how to word that I'm tired
But we studied genetics in length in Animal Science and I did a PowerPoint over it
So I guess
I kinda sorta know some things

so genetics do kind of play as a factor as you have stated that they pass down traits that help give at least a basis or "head start" of their "talent"
