why do qomen get labiaplasty procedures?
-
"There are two main categories of women seeking cosmetic genital surgery: those with congenital conditions such as intersex, and those with no underlying condition who experience physical discomfort or wish to alter the appearance of their genitals because they believe they do not fall within a normal range"
I'd fall under the second category, but I actually don't care about it that much. Idk if you know but there are two types of normal vaginas that work kind of like belly buttons. They're called "innies" and "outies." There's actually a 50% of being either but those with outer vaginas always feel embarrassed. Some men/innie women will make fun of them for it, saying it looks like a sandwich that has all of its insides falling out. So people get all worked up, get a labiaplasty procedure, and boom. They're "normal" and that's that. As for the first category, I don't know much about it but it seems self explanatory. -

I never knew this
-
Well, most people don't even think about whether or not they're different than others. But if you've ever googled or seen images/videos of nude women, most of them are what you'd call an innie. That's what people believe is the normal version of a vagina. It's a lot to take in- I only just learned about the difference last summer. My mom had once asked a doctor why I looked hella different and it made me have body issues. But I was taking health and got the idea to look it up- actually really helped me feel better about myself. I can get you a picture from wikipedia if you're really curious about the difference of the two?

neither did I mom
:) but you know when your body sucks time to try and change it
sure I guess -
I've noticed the difference before but I've never questioned it.
Well, I guess, I've questioned it but I never thought about it too much. It's appaling to think how much health class and sex ed failed me because I never knew there was an actual biological and explainable difference.
The "innie" and "outie" analogy makes it easier to understand. I don't think I need a picture. -
*warning for the children, tis educational but don't click if you don't wanna see some women's parts*

this women thinks there's a perfect vagina
(cries because you know there really is and people just feed you that everything that is in reality ugly is pretty x') )
and that women is a surgeon -
I didn't question it because I never knew there was a difference. Pretty sad how you can be so exposed and yet missing so much information. :/ Also, yeah, those two classes never really covered things like this..
Posted pic for anime even though it's more like before and after pics rather than a comparison -
i didn't even think about the "innie" "outie" concept
