Hey Dark, where did you learn to write so well?

Story time!
I'm pretty much self taught. I've been roleplaying ever since I joined this site. I wasn't really good at it, but that's how I learned how to develop characters. I also was into acting at the time, which made me want to learn how to write. At first I wrote simple stories and posted them here. They weren't very in-depth, mind you, and they honestly kind of sucked. I didn't know a lot about grammar or vocabulary. However, because of my desire to write, I started to ask my teachers to read through my stuff. But, they didn't really tell me much to help me write- I just learned some cool words from them. Still, I wanted to improve. Gradually, I started looking into proper writing on my own through the internet. It also helped since I liked reading a lot of different levels of books and seeing so many different styles. The more I wanted to learn how to write, the more I pushed myself to write more and to learn how to add detail and bring things "to life." I'm certainly not as good as my girlfriend or some of the other users on here, and I'm still learning proper rules, but yeah that's how I'm decent at writing.
