something happened earlier where people were giving advice
-
Like?
-
oh, nevermind
it was about self-harm
but man did I love IHLAOY's post -
Oh yeah that
-
She's being serious though. She's not even making fun of them.
-
yeah
For now, I am assuming it as a joke. They do it all the time whenever a depressed/mentally troubled person seems to seek help on such an unearthly website. (lol why here? why us?) -
How can a job help self-harm? That's what's funny about it.
-
It distracts them from being depressed.
-
A minimum-wage job that will probably pay you a weekly mediocre check? Sure, it will distract a person from being depressed! Add more problems to their problems!
-
owl thinks you misunderstood
-
And then being rejected from company to company, futher adding to that crippling joy of rejection.

A job provides realistic, attainable goals to even the most unskilled laborer. On top of that, it's an excellent place to meet people, and with new people comes new experiences and acknowledgement. Finally, a job will help you settle into a routine, which is important for time management, which in turn, forces you to focus on the things you enjoy.
