my sister told me last night she thinks me being gay/bisexual is a phase and that i'm "going to be straight soon", but she will support me nonetheless
but for years I've been struggling with my sexuality and trying to come to terms with it. if it was a thing for attention or a phase, what were those feelings of self-hatred? of being ashamed? of uncomfortable? of unloved, of looked down upon? as different? as not as good as everyone else?
i don't know i do appreciate her supporting me but that really made me feel like s---
it makes me think she thinks i'm faking it, which i don't think i am
a phase doesn't last this long
i thought i might have experienced same sex attraction since maybe the 5th grade
for her to say that makes me feel invalidated and not taken seriously and it really hurts my feelings
