All we did was practice scales in band today, and everyone except the new kids have to do a Bb scale test in front of the entire class tomorrow to see how accurately they can play it for a grade. I'm a new kid, so I'm not required to do it. I could choose to not play it if I didn't want to, but I learned how to play it anyway. New kids don't have to play it because they aren't used to the whole You have to stand in front of nearly 40 people and play this. They're also beginners. I learn extremely fast, so I can already play notes in three different octaves. I'm going to surprise the band director tomorrow and play it because she doesn't know I can play it. dun dUN DUN
I also got Milestone scores today, and I excelled. -
I like surprising people and going past their expectations. It's so satisfying.

She said I didn't have to do it. She didn't say I couldn't, so of course I'm going to learn the scale anyway.

What's weird is all of the new kids besides me just stepped back and said no because they assumed they couldn't do it. You can if you try.
