Tip 1... (this is a trick to ease the pain, some of you may know it)
Get a towel, flannel or an empty water bottle. Get the flannel, towel or empty water bottle and spray HOT water o/in it. Place the flannel, towel or empty (now full) water bottle on your stomach. It will help a lot! -

you can get your cat, too
:P any heat -
Tip 2... (this is an obvious tip, but it's also a reminder!)
With cramps and pains, stretch a little. Stretch with you feet, mostly. It doesn't have to be so hard. Just like touching your toes ext. -
I'm going to eat. I'll give you tips, after!

oh buddy do I have some to share....
1.) DO NOT eat Mexican food on your period, ESPECIALLY if you know you get bad cramps! there's a thing called capsaicin in the food, which is an ingredient that makes the food super spicy!!! the capsaicin, like any other time (even not during your time of the month), can give you cramps, fevers, nausea, and even sometimes diarrhea. imagine how painful it'd be on your period !!!!
but I mean, taco bell.... is the s---..... so if you still wanna proceed with munchin on some tacos then..... I understand completely. just proceed with caution
2.) ALWAYS ALWAYS take extra tampons/pads!!!! even if you think you're not even gonna bleed that much, take a few extra just in case. and check your pad/tampon often! you never know! this has saved me from bleeding through my pants many a times my friends
3.) HEAT WORKS! press something hot up against your body (wherever the cramps are), like a heating pad, or a hot water bottle like smileylover said, the heat really helps with cramps so I suggest you do that
4.) chocolate works !!!! get lots of chocolate, if you can. before and during our period, our hormone (estrogen, ESPECIALLY serotonin, which is the "happy feelings" hormone, cortisol) levels will shift and chocolate really helps with that! it just tastes good and will help you feel better. just don't take TOO much chocolate at a time, because too much sugar in your diet and lead to more sebum and inflammation in your skin which can give you acne.
5.) exercise !!!! but only if you wanna. I know periods are stressful, and you don't really feel like doing anything, but if you're an active person and like to work out, then work out!!! get some stretches in, run a little on the treadmill, go for a walk, or a bike ride, do something! it will take your mind off the cramps and give you something to do -
Thanks so much, Browniebunny!

More tips...
3. Take long baths/showers! They help you relax
4. EAT ANYTHING THAT YOU FEEL LIKE EATING!!! If you really feel like eating chocolate, eat chocolate. Just make sure what your eating won't make your period worse, though!
5. Have massages! They really help you relax
