We're all in our own little worlds here. Attempts to be social are usually spurned. I always stay here and talk to myself, and generally no one shows up here, either. I don't think it's really you. I think if you tried making a thread that gave them an opportunity to talk at length about themselves, they'd respond more openly.

People aren't nice, most of the time. I can't change that for you. Sorry. The best thing for you to do is realize that the people who would hurt you aren't worth your time. Just find the people with good intentions and stay close. I met my moirail through this site. It was really different around here when we met, so I'm not sure how that would work for you now, but I believe in you.
