Wow. That's some inspiration for people who whine about IQs.
So are the subjects like easy or normal? -
Dead easy.
The handwriting is huge, and the second half was only like 100 pages.
The questions page is only like, 1.
I mean literally, one page of a book will have like 5 sentences because the rest is covered with pictures.
Social studies is only 5 lessons, each one is 1 or 2 pages. I mean literally I think it was 20 pages or so. -
But that's just social studies! The hardest was science, I didn't know how I coped.
English is easy because, it is a compulsory subject, but don't you think it's going to be less hard if it's studied in a non English country? -
Wow! I wanna go to school in Dubai!
At my school our chemistry exam papers for each topic are 1 double sided A4 piece but they have a lot of hard questions on them. Then we have a booklet of questions for the final exam. Ughhh!! -
There are private all-English schools you know.
Literally, there are schools just for Americans and Brits, lots of westerners come here because Education and health care is free, and there is no tax.
So I see loads of Brits and Americans here. -
hi
-
Wow. 'Cause Dubai is getting more Westernized now, right? I've been there twice and the first time was in '04 and there was hardly any litter and stuff and I went last year and now there's loads. Have you been to Aba Dabbi (or however it's spelt)?
-
Yes, I have, I went there to see a Coldplay concert, and been to Emirates Palace loads of times because they do lots of Art exibtions there.
-
You know, Dubai has bars now, they're in private sections in restaurants.
The problem is, Westerners don't respect that they're in a muslim country, and one of the rules is to wear modest and long clothing, but they go round wearing shorts and stuff that all shows and practically underwear and I get really upset.
Did you hear about that couple that had sex on a beach in Jumeirah (I went there last week)? -
Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess it must be hard for you guys and everything because muslims are assossiated now with 9/11 and everything but that's a massive generalization.
Yeah, I heard about that! It must be awful for the locals and stuff 'cause it's like completley screwing their customs up. What happened to them? Did they get a jail sentence or something?
Oooh! For my R.E. report on headscarves could you tell me your opinion on them? Since you're a muslim If you don't mind... -
I'm back and I totally believe you, how could I not? IDK what my IQ is anymore, apparently when I wass 2 I had the IQ of a 4 and a half year old and the brains to hide it from other kids and teachers. . And if I ever go to Dubai, of course I'm going to respect the rules. I'm going to wear my longest skirts (Knee-length, is that okay?) And pants, and my shirts aren't going to be super-skimpy super-tight super-revealing stuff either.
-
My opinions on headscarves? Oh, OK LOL.
And thanks U1.
That couple had been sent back to the UK, but I don't know if they were going to charge them there or something. -
No problem. I really hate when people don't respect the ways of countries/familes/etc.
-
Well, Headscarves are very good for muslim women to cover their hair, the point of headscarves is that it is to conceal you, and not draw attention to yourself.
I think headscarves are very good and I'm used to them, seeing as I wear them when I go out, but nowaday muslims don't seem to be sticking to it.
For example, they let their fringes out, so their hair is showing, or they put their hair up hight so it looks like they put a ball on their head and put the scar on top of it, or don't wrap it round properly.
That help? -
LoL thanks, Ilm.
We're studying 'Islam in the Modern World' and the topic we're currently doing is equality and whether it's fair that the women wear headscarves whereas the men don't.
