Only when I look into your eyes
My senses ignite
I feel life
I was waiting for an answer
Like a feather falling
From the sky
You don't want to belong to me
'Cause freedom feels better
I could give you love inadequately
But you steal hearts like mine
Don't think if
Why you gotta be
Why you gotta be mine?
Unrequited love, unrequited love
Why can't all of be?
Why can't all of be possible?
For as long as I can remember
Like boiling water
We collide
But you don't seem to want forever
This adventure
Was only real to my eyes
You don't want to listen to me
'Cause freedom sounds better
And I can see you love inadequately
But you steal hearts like mine -
You got that walk walk walk
Got that talk talk talk
Got that swagger-er-er
Such a glamor-or-or
You're like a real life doll
With your hair that falls
Like niagara-a-a
But that don't matter-er-er
Cause that don't change the fact
That your heart is black
You can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Try to block my sunshine
My blue skies with your clouds
And who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far
You may think you\'re pretty
But you'll see that beauty
Is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
You'll only play play play
If you get your way always
In the center-er-er
Of attentio-io-ion
All the lying
And the cheating
The mistreating
How you even sleep at ni-igh-igh-ight
Blows my mi-i-i-ind
I wonder when you\'ll see
That you don't bother me
So you can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Try to block my sunshine
My blue skies with your clouds
And who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far
You may think you're pretty
But you'll see that beauty
Is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower
I spent all of my youth
Trying to be you
Thought that you were special
That you were beautiful
But the more of you I see
The more I'm glad I'm me
Cause you can't tear me down
Beat me to the ground
Try to block my sunshine
My blue skies with your clouds
And who do you think you are
Yeah that won't get you far (that won\'t get you far)
You may think you're pretty
But you'll see that beauty
Is a fading flower
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower (fading flower)
Fading flow-ow-ow-ower (fading flower) -
ohhhhh
oohhh.
My broken heart
I know you're tired all this all
I know I,
I made the same mistakes a lot
I know you love to make a sound
when you crash onto the ground
when I fall,
for someone
I know I always make you down
c/o: But I'll never give up on you
never giving up
giving you all for love
for love
My broken heart
I remember when you red
now you're tough
slowly turning into blood
I know you never make a sound
require in my hello chest
when I yell at someone
you're louder than a breaking glass
Giving you all for love
you all for love
Are you thinking what I'm thinking
I thinking we're start beating again
for love
Are you feeling what Im feeling
do should we go going
give another chance -
Are we ever gonna
You should make up your mind
Take you back to my shrine
And I'ma need the whole night
And a little bit more
I'm gonna need a whole night
They don't know how you like it
I'm gonna need a whole night
And I'ma need the whole night
And a little bit more
I'm gonna need a whole night
They don't know how you like it
I'm gonna need a whole night
And I'ma need the whole night
And a little bit more
(Verse 1)
Yeah, I got the feeling you've been here before
You needed tonight like a weekend ago
Yeah, you in or you out or you playing or folding
We in need of a moment
Are we ever gonna
You should make up your mind
Take you back to my shrine
Don't you pay them no mind
Let them be, let them go
She was made for my eyes
We escape at times
(Verse 2)
Yeah, the party gets shallow the deeper we go
Telling you secrets that you shouldn't know
Yeah, I feel like it's just you and me on the floor
Repeat Pre Chorus & Chorus)
And a little bit moreAnd a little bit more
And a little bit moreJust a little bit more
Wahala she no dey give me

John Locke never said the ending of government would throw people back into the state of nature
He said society came into existence before government and could survive a change of government
English did in 1688
America could do it in 1776
Two types of government to build, local and central
Successful in starting a local government not central
10 governments completed in 1776 and rest by 1780
Not perfect, but protected human liberty better than other parts of the world at the time
Wings clipped by the constitutions, powers became limited and defined
Rhode Island and Connecticut, old colonial charters followed the old ways
But the other states drafted something that repelled the old ways completely
A written constitution that contained bill of rights, told certain freedoms of the people.
1. government cannot invade under any false excuse.
2. general warrants and standing armies were forbidden
3. freedom of the press
4. the right to petition
5. trial by jury
6. habeas corpus
Anything known as Due process of law
Massachusetts wanted to make their own constitution, they thought if the government made the laws the government would easily change them. Tyranny
In 1780 a constitution was made by the people without the government involved.
State constitutions were drafted by provincial congress. People were the source of political power
Every officer of government was to be elected directly or indirectly by the people
Pennsylvania thought the governor was a bother and abolished the office, same with most states
John Adams, the Braintree lawyer, saw that states were making the executive branches too weak
Benjamin Franklin thought the legislature should be a single legislative chamber or unicameral, with no upper house
John Adams thought the upper house was for spoiled (pampered) aristocrats. He thought no matter how liberated aristocrats will grow in any society. Not everyone would be able to have equal say
Adams convinced every state but Pennsylvania to make its legislature bicameral ( or to have two branches or chambers).
They continued on an elective basis
Many people still did not have the same level of equality, due to not having enough property, being the wrong sex, and the wrong race
The revolutionist failed with universal suffrage/ freedom. This meant they were not prepared to follow the principle of equality even for adult white men.
The government used to just protect property.
Harrington showed that people who did not have much such as property could not be able to fend off the injustice in their lives.
Harrington thought giving out an equal distribution of land was the best way to keep a free government.
Harringtons followers said economic equality is the should of liberty!
The Americans idea of freedom was only for Englishmen at first.
Lockes ideas were not backed up with any action, they were hypothetical
Lockes ideas became known as the ideal ideas for the American Society
The equality laws did not help the inequality of women. The status of women being inferior did not go away.
Slaves in Virginia made 41% of population, North Carolina 34%, South Carolina 53%, Georgia 37%
Landon Carter said if you free the slaves you must send them out of your country or they must steal for their support.
Rhode Island, Continental Congress, Connecticut, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, and North Carolina, passed laws in the 1770s forbidding or discouraging importations of slaves.
Jefferson would have put in statements against slavery in the Declaration of Independence but the congress ruled it out.
After the stopping of slave trade, then came the abolition of slavery altogether
Most northern states completely abolished the use of sales in their states. However, despite the south admitting they were wrong they still did it.
manumission- release from slavery. Virginia legislature permitting release from slavery.
South Church was Anglican
New England was Congregational
The merchants lost the most during the revolution, they were stopped by the British Navy
The war also affected southern planters, they could not market their rice and tobacco. In places like Virginia business never became strong again.
The small farmers made money by charging soldiers during the war.
Instead of taxes both congress and state use printing money to supply their needs. The result was a flood of paper bills and higher prices.
Speculators made a lot of money or fortune
Reform of Inhibitive law brought further distribution of the property. For example, the eldest son would inherit the dead fathers property.
This is known as primogeniture and entail, were said to be out of place in America and was banned.
Carl Becker, said the revolution was not only a dispute about home rule but also about who should rule at home.
Most radical change produced by the Revolution was 3 million cantankerous (argumentative) colonist in a new nation. -
oh shut up
