I'm trying to finish this math so I can sleep earlier today -
Yes we know every ones lives matter, however at the moment black people are actually taking a stand for themselves. When ever black people get up and suddenly want change in their lives people always counter act it.
I love how people often use the "they are killing themselves the most" line, however all of it comes from deeper cuts made by other races. When you don't learn about your history, except in February, you tend to not see your value. I find it funny how we never learn about the Native Americans owning this land, I love how Asians aren't even spoken about or mentioned in school. You start hating own image. And all of this comes form slavery, the wounds from slavery has been passed down from generation to generation. Black people have been put against each other, and frankly there have been so many people leeching off of them.
I think black people need to understand that other people will not change, we really need to do for ourselves. If we don't like our communities we have to make a stand and take control of our own lives. We keep complaining that others aren't doing a great job stabilizing our lives, however we should want to stabilize our own lives.
Hispanic, Black, and the Indigenous people are all struggling. But I feel like with the African American people everything was snatched away. They do not know their language, history, religion and they have nothing to build off of. The forty acres and a mule that was promised was never given.
I still wonder why we celebrate Christopher Columbus day. He was a liar, thief, rapist, and just manipulative. The schools admit that yet still honor him. He isn't even the one who found North America.
I also often realize how people say we built this nation, no not at all. This nation was built off of injustice, and unpaid labor. Not of white men and women, but black, hispanic, and indigenous people.
