Well they are running some test to see If I heritage huntington's disease
-
Well that sucks. Do you have it?
-
Awaiting for the result. But if I do that will chage life completely I would never get marry and have kids
-
OMG I'm so sorry, I hope you don't have it!
What is this desease anyway? -
If I remember correctly, Huntingtons is a 1 in 10,000 chance and people with it usually dont live to be 6.
(sorry, we studied huntingtons and several other hereditary diseases a couple days ago. :/ I may be wrong.) -
Yes u r right james
Roe Huntington's disease results from genetically programmed degeneration of brain cells, called neurons, in certain areas of the brain. This degeneration causes uncontrolled movements, loss of intellectual faculties, and emotional disturbance -
Actually James is a 50/50
-
Hmmm... well taking from what Bob said, It'll most likely be that you don't have it.
But damn that sucks, I'm glad I don't have that desease. -
No really Roe you see my gradmother have the disease Each child of an HD parent has a 50-50 chance of inheriting the HD gene. If a child does not inherit so far my other bro and sis are negative for it
-
Oh my... well all I can say is, good luck. 0_O
-
If your grand mother had it that means that your mom/dad only had a 50/50 chance. and since thats one half, of one half of you. The idea that you or your siblings having it is already a 25% chance.
-
I gtg, bye bye guys! *hug*
-
James the reason I've been testing cuz one of cousin came positive last week
-
Bye Roe. *hugs*
-
which means that your moms/dads sibling had to carry the trait. Which makes your chances of getting it even less.
