Illness: Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
His known personalities are Soren (Mas), Runi (Mas), and Ausra (Fem).
His condition was caused by severe trauma from his childhood that he has long since been suppressed. For a long time, he hadn't realized that these other personalities existed, but would tell doctors that he was experiencing amnesia or gaps in his memory. Even his peers would say he's the "same but different" during these gaps. His most noticeable personalities would be ones that identify as female, in which someone would have to stop him from walking into the girls' bathroom/locker rooms.
He has no recognition of the trauma that started it all, so it's nearly impossible for professionals to ask questions about it, but it's assumed to have been caused by psychological abuse and/or neglect at a young age. Although Linas can't remember what it was, there is a certain time each year when he is not himself for at least a week and the personalities take over. Most of them try to mimic his core personality so they aren't discovered or noticed easily, but each has some difference or pattern that's not the same as Linas. Changes in tones of speech or laughter, body language, mannerisms, and other small habits are noted.
Linas denied having DID until years of therapy, doctor visits, and even video showed him otherwise. He was admitted to an institution to have his condition treated and monitored as soon as he graduated high school. -
I prefer the term gay over homosexual. ;u;
But I'm pan, so that's a different story. -
