This is my official thread, for reals this time.- -
Haha, so I got like two hours of sleep and then got to go wash cars and run a yard sale all day. I am burnt like nobody's business.
But I got a beautiful 1973 Merriam Websters Dictionary set and it is amazing, dictionaries are my favorite books. I also go three C.S Lewis books; miracles, the problem of pain, and one other who's name I cannot remember. The problem with pain is amazing, it is this concrete structure of philosophy weaved immaculately into a inspirational, mind rattling book that is helping me immensely with my Mental Issues as well as allowing me to indulge in a beautiful , inspirational philosophical book that rattles my brain and keeps me constructing debates and my mind spinning.
But I had to listen to hideous music all day. I don't get what is so amazing about Matt Mahr and Ed sheeren. I eventually just tuned out those dreadful sounds and replayed the imagine dragon song I was listening to all night in my head. -
You could probably bake bread in my arms.
-
Oh, I just remembered that I have aloe Vera growing in my windowsill.
-
Jeez Louis, today is like the test of life. I swear reality is testing me to see how I respond to everything.
I think I am acing this though, -
Quotes from The Problem Of Pain
"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world," -C.S Lewis
"The Son of God suffered unto death, not that men might not suffer, but that their suffering might be like His." -George Macdonald
"Nothing which implies contradiction falls under the omnipotence of God." -Thomas Aquinas
"I wonder at the hardihood with which such persons undertake to talk about God. In a treatises addressed to infidel they begin with a chapter proving the existence of God for the works of nature... this only gives their readers grounds for thinking that the proofs of our religion are very weak... It is a remarkable fact that no canonical writer has ever used Nature to prove God." -pascal
"The lowest type and one which is 'love' at all only by an extension of the world, is that which an artist feels for an artefact." -C.S Lewis
"We are not metaphorically bug in very true, a Divine work of art, something that God is making, and therefore something with which He will not be satisfied with until it has a certain character." -C.S Lewis
"You can have no greater sign of confirmed pride than when you think you are humble enough"
"Thai act of self will on one's part of the creature, which constitutes as utter falseness to its true creaturely position is the only sin that can be conceived as the Fall." -C.S Lewis
I will post more as I study the book further. -
I am on a hard question and I am failing. Someone tell me to take a deep breath in and out.
Oh wait, that is impossible for me. -
Erm, don't take offense to this alex, but I can't really post in your thread right now. I just got though writing this really long thing that you aren't really to here yet and I am slightly afraid that if I talk to you right now I will spill out and make your life harder.
-
*sigh* nobody's on right now. [That is what makes this part of my test so hard, I have never needed to talk to someone more than right now and everyone is gone]
I might as well leave then. -
I love the intellect of time.
It is really just an idea, I mean, we have the unspoken faith in time because it has proven itself to be reliable since it's beginning. But there is not scientific evidence for the concept of time, it is not a proven fact nor can we measure it accurately like we presume we are. For all we know we could be living life with a metronome set to the wrong speed. What if the entire theory of numbers is false? What defines the logic behind the concept of mathematical formula and who created it?
I believe my theology proved the existence of God.
Of course, you could always believe it to do the opposite but that is the fault with mankind, we manipulate our minds to see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe.
Hnm... I could go down the rabbit hole of the concept of morals and emotion but I will leave that intangible theory aside for now seeing as I must sleep.
oh wait, that is why I was contemplating time... I was pissed be use I have to get to it of the house and do things tomorrow and time won't do anything to ease that burden from me. My, I sure do come up with the most intangible philosophical crap.
But even still... I am having patience problems right now.
I am glad that time bends for no man, because it is really teaching me a virtue.
But really? What is time but a marker for our place in life?
Okay, I really gtg now. -
*sigh* I have been trying to sleep for the past half hour but is it like yesterday, every time I dose off I forget to breathe and I wake up a minute after gasping for air.
*sighs deeply* I am pretty sure I have that accursed sleep apnea. That is just one more thing to add to my list of stupid illness. -
Wow...
-
*sigh*

And here I thought I could remain looking like a vampire all summer. Well at least this horrid tan will only last three months.

You see, this is why I don't make official threads. Nobody ever comes here to talk to me and I just end up using at as an excuse to post random drama.
Maybe I should get off for now and go read the problem of pain.
