I love my brother ;;
So my family and I were talking about religion-
Me: "I don't really believe in God"
Mom: "That's because the Devil has strayed you from God's path."
Me: "That's what you said about me being Pan" :I
Mom:"Because it's true. You wouldn't have those feeling towards... others people than men if you followed the path of God."
Me: "Why would I follow a path I don't believe in because I've never seen any proof that couldn't be explained with science"
Dad: "Science doesn't explain everything"
Me:"Neither does The Bible. I mean first off, Adam and Eve had three sons. One of them was killed but, that leaves two sons. There were no other women besides Eve supposedly, so how did they mate without have a difformed child?"
Dad: "You'll have to ask God that. I mean it says in the bible that homosexuality is a sin. How can you ignore that?"
Me: "Because I'm atheist" :I
Mom: "I don't understand your kind"
Me: "My ki-"
*brother cuts me off*
Bro: "Her kind? What? You mean the people you don't approve of? Because of who they decide to LOVE. It also says in the bible,not to judge. So leave her alone. There is no 'her kind'. She's the same person she was before she came out, you guys are the ones that act different now."
Me: *tears up*
Mom: ...Whatever. I treat her perfectly the same. *walks away*
Dad: You're grounded, don't ever speak to us that way again, do you understand?
Bro: Yes, sir. *starts to walk away but hugs me first*
Me: ... *hugs back* Thank you
Bro: Whatever don't get all emotional on me. *goes to his room*
Dad: *leaves*
Me: *cries*
I don't think I've ever been more proud of my brother.

My brother and I had this big discussion yesterday about sexuality and religion and stuff. I think he's becoming more open minded. He's matureing.
