Dx this sucks because it hurts and I really want to eat in the morning and this only happens this early -
When you first wake up in the morning, your metabolism is slow. Some people take longer than others to ramp up their metabolism - I'm guessing that you are not a morning person to begin with?
We've all been brainwashed to "eat a good breakfast, most important meal of the day," etc. But when your metabolism is not up to speed, your body really doesn't want, and can't handle food.
Protein, especially, is hard to digest.
I'd suggest eating very lightly when you get up first thing in the morning, and something easily digestible. Some choices might be: toast, a banana, a half cup applesauce, instant oatmeal.
Take a heavier meal for mid-morning to work with you. In a couple hours you should feel hungry after your breakfast mini-meal. Then eat your heavier mid-morning snack, which should hold you till lunch.
