So I hit my foot really hard on my bed and now it's bruised. If I move my middle toe, it really hurts. I like to move my toe so that it hurts, but I hate pain I can't control.
The bruise is red instead of purple.

Put either something warm or something cold over it.
Apply some ointment later.
Avoid moving it.

So sorry for you. I've faced similar situation.

I put an ice bag on it but then my grandmother's cat nibbled on my fingers until I payed attention to him.
