Chuunibyou or "Eighth grade syndrome" can be a few things.
1) When someone acts antisocial or dangerous.
Ex: "Why are you injured?"
"I got into a fight with a gang."
2) When someone acts like a know-it-all to be cool.
Ex: "I only buy manga if it's in the orginal language: Japanese."
"Can you actually read it?"
"Y-yeah... Totally..."
3) When someone acts like they have superpowers.
Ex: "If you remove my right hand's glove, all the forces of Hell will come crashing in."
(Okay, forgive this example. I can't do this type of Chuuni as well as Andou or Hajime.) -

The show that the pictures are from is called "Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de". Some of the main characters are Chuuni. It's funny and awesome. -
