That's what I've been doing! I work my ass off. Math is just my worst subject and the fact that somehow I'm in advanced doesn't make it at all better :(((

Ellis, in Washington sixth grade is still elementary, and yes they hold you back here if you don't get a good grade. In Spokane you just needed to stay above an F and you'd be fine. Here, it's so much stricter X(

How do people have trouble with math? It's easy. It's having to write essays and crap I hated, stories are very fun to right but reports and essays suck!

My best subjects are reading and writing. I'm good at math once I practice for a while, but I'm in advanced so we're onto a different subject each day.

Here 5th grade is the last of elementary and 8th is the last of middle and it's 9th through 12th in high school.
You don't get held back other than in high school, for just one or two bad classes, they either just say screw it and let you go on and try to do better and catch up next year or just give you and easier version of the class next year. -
Ugh, I had advenaced last year and barely got a C. It wasn't the math we were being taught, it was the teacher who was teaching it.
I'm sure you'd be fine at advanced if your teacher taught a different way -

Here it's 6 is the last of elementary, 9th grade is the last of middle and 10-12 is high school.
