Thread Topic: I've got my whole future figured out
-
arianaTexas NewbieSo I'm in 10th grade right now and I've decided that when I'm finished with high school, I'll join the Navy (don't worry, I'm working out in every way I can to stay in shape) and I'll stay in it for 40 years (when I get retire, I'll be 58.) And once I'm retired and settled down, I'm adopting a girl and naming her Whitney.

Nice planning! Ain't it too early?
-
arianaTexas NewbieThanks but ain't it too early for what?
-
early for planning your future
-
arianaTexas NewbieWell, yeah, in some ways but I've wanted to be in the military since I was a kid and I did tons of research so I know that the Navy is the best branch for me and I'm staying in for 40 years so I can get 100% of my basic pay for my pension and I'm naming my daughter Whitney because then her name will be Whitney Houston and the singer was, is, and always will be my idol. But, yeah, I'm serious about this so I really don't think I'll be changing my mind anytime soon

That's really awesome. :)
-
arianaTexas NewbieHah, is it really? How?
-
Having planned your future, deciding what all to do, that's pretty awesome.
I even can't take small decisions in one go. I still am not sure what profession I would take up, chances are being a doctor though. -
arianaTexas NewbieOh, hah, yeah. I used to be like you, though. Didn't know what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, I wasn't even sure I could make it through high school but I just took some time to look through military websites and now I know what my path is. Being a doctor would be dope, though. I mean personally, I couldn't do it cuz I can't cut people open and play with their insides but if that's something you can do, well gosh darn it, do it!
I type too many words... -
A doctor need not always cut people up, that would be gross, and it would be surgeon's job. I intend to do something less gross
