Book rating: The Giver
Having read Lois Lowry's best-selling book The Giver, I can honestly rate it 7/10 . My reasons for doing so is merely because although it is stunning, imaginative, and clearly a work of art, it lacks the basic writing arts that make a book exhilarating.
A good book should use strong verbs and contradict itself in a unique way. And frankly Lois Lowry's book did not possess those properties as strongly as good literary pieces should. Also, the plot wasn't as developed which made for a shorter book with less content.
On the bright side, The Giver is stunning and imaginative. It is full of emotion and it displays a great virtue; ignorance isn't always bliss. The Giver is also most certainly a book for people who love dramas and books that give off a sort of illusion and has a vast variety of suspension. The Giver is most certainly a substantial book and gives a sweet fragrance.
OK so this is a rough draft of what I have written so far, it is due tomorrow and I can't put it on my missing work list -
Why not, but that's pretty good! It gives both angles not just one, and gives a lot of info in a short...thing... XD

Can you think of something for me to add? Is there maybe something repetitive in there? Anything that should change? -
The only repetitive thing is the word imaginative but really it fits in both places so I honestly don't know if anything needs to be changed but I'm not all that good with essays

Yeah, I don't know, I showed it to my dad and he had me fix somethings but that's about it.
