I don't have any problem with different race casting, but the whole storyline is surrounding over her golden healing hair, shes supposed to have the golden hair. I know it sounds weird but think about it.
the flower is used by the witch, they find the flower and heals the queen, the flower gifts the child with gold hair, leading the witch to take the child to continue to use the flowers healing properties. the entire story happens because of the hair, and Istg if you take flinn rider maximus and pascal out or over cgi or turn It into some woke ahh crap nobody wants its a classic for a reason leave it alone. -
like it doesn't matter with Ariel because her race and hair don't effect the story line-
