[Riot's Nen is going to be based on the fact that he was adopted by an Assassin. So he had potential in stealth. He's a genius in Nen, like Neon was, and has for most of his life been able to harness it. He didn't have to go through training, but he did later on to help his abilities.
Hiding is his specialty. He can use his Hatsu and accomplish complete Zetsu at the same time. ] -
[So basically this would make Riot and 'Kumo' opposites. She's bright and flashy, he literally vanishes. She knows multiple Nen Abilites, or Hatsu, while he's only mastered one, and that's Rhythm Vanish, a joking name but a serious technique.]

[Riot, being born in Meteor City, is used to not having anything, and as he could use Nen to disappear since he was littler, doesn't mind not being around people, unless a person has specifically promised to be there for him.
i.e. Illumi, Hisoka, Kumo, Canary, Killua, Kalluto, Alluka, etc.] -
[Riot quite frankly has Illumi's blank expressions when he uses Nen. Especially when he uses his second Hatsu, but he doesn't often as it physically hurts him since it's underdeveloped.]

[The stuffed cat is named after his mother. He's quite attached to it, even though he doesn't remember his mother much.]

[His second Hatsu was created for offensive purposes, and depends on him stealing another's Nen. Of course, the use of another person's Nen can be quite traumatic, as that energy is not his own and isn't really compatible with him.]

[Mara means bitter. Hisoka knew Riot's mother, through Chrollo. Mara worked occasionally as an ally to the Phantom Troupe, which is understandable, as the Troupe originated in that doomed city.
Mara died of an illness. No doctors in Meteor city, of course. Her death was slow and painful. Riot had already been taken away to live with the Zold yck's when she began to die.] -
[Illumi has killed people who bullied Riot. He was once playing with a group of kids that had come with their family to tour the Mountains the Zold yck's own. One of the kids picked on him for carrying around a stuffed animal. Then when he revealed his Nen, they called him a monster, saying he must be a member of those horrible monsters on the mountains.
Illumi dispatched the whole tour group. The Zold yck's covered up the murders like always.
Riot has no idea to this day. ]
