Here you go: the prologue.
I woke up slowly in a field of white and blue rose bushes surrounded by a forest on each side. I sat up slowly, my crystal blue eyes looked at the blue roses intriguingly, wondering how it was possible for roses to even be blue. Then a small smile started to crawl onto my face. It was finally time to see him.
I scrambled up quickly, trying not to ruin my white nightgown or snag it on any of the thorns. I glanced around, not even checking for smudges. The full moon above me casted an eerie glow on and around me. I looked around carefully; finally spotting what I was looking for. It was an old worn path the lead into the forest. I slipped through the rose bushes cautiously, still not trying to tear up my gown.
Once i maneuvered around the bushes, I stepped onto the well worn down path. I knew the path well, I was really the only person who walked on it for all these years. Well...I've never really seen anyone else walk it except myself. The soft dirt left dust on my bare feet as I started down the path and through the woods. The trees casted a playful shadows along the edges, but the moon kept them at bay and the path clear. Tree limbs waved and bowed at me as I passed, causing a smile to play on my lips.
Soon the trees started to thin out and a soft breeze tempted my golden blonde hair to play. My already gleaming bright eyes lifted up to a gleaming white castle. It wasn't eerie, the moon made it glisten brightly like a white rose with morning dew on it. Once I looked away from it, my eyes washed over a lush garden that reminded me of a teaming yet wild jungle with flowers the size of my head all the way to the size of my nails. Some I knew the name of and others I didn't. He told me once, but I forgot almost half of what he told me. Oh the joys of a horrible memory.
Um...I have more just wanting to see what you think of this... -
