Because humans suck at making logical decisions.
Try and be friendly. But not clingy.
You can't sleep because you have too much on your mind. I suggest watching a couple ASMR videos. They're pretty good at being brain numbing and calming. -
How can I do that with no headphones ?
..how can I learn to eat less?
How can I be not annoying or clingy ?
Why does my dad think I'm stupid?
How can I not be noticed in all my classes ? -

Pacing or have a friend help you notice when you are.
Because parents aren't always great at parenting.
