Jake: I understand that you and Dread wanted to sped time together, but Dread couldn't. I'd expect you want an explanation

Jake: I need my men focussed, and you, my dear Dark, are a distraction to Dread. I have to keep you two apart else Dread would let his judgement be clouded by thoughts of such a lovely girl, which could cost him his life.
