i find it amusing that we call her "the queen" when 200 years ago we literally fought so that we wouldn't have to anymore

we literally had a huge war so that we would call them "the queen/king of england" instead of just "the queen/king" and make ourselves no longer a part of england -

and im studying the american revolution in social studies right now
im dumb lmao
but i think just calling them the queen/king is easier to say i guess, saying "the king/queen of england" seems tedious after a while -

that and the fact that modern america is like "omg!! will and kate!! are they having a third child???" when our ancestors literally would've been like "keep those stupid brits as far from me as possible. EW" -
