i'm a failure at intellectual games like chess (never really bothered to learn)

I knew some nerds or whatever that liked anime and some of them played chess. I used to be really good but now I'm just ok I don't have anyone to play with so I just do it on my computer against a computer but its either to easy or to hard with the settings. What do you do for fun?

the usual and so me strange stuff
various forms of art, play guitar (impossible since mines broken), read, random computer art, and annoy the hell out of people (theres more i can't remember at the moment)
