i struggle with like giving them more of a multi-faceted personality. i want to be able to give them expression past face value if that makes sense.

Ye. Give them a very detailed background. Backgrounds build and shape up characters.

i worry that sometimes theres too much irrelevant info about a character im creating, but i also figure the detail adds extra dimension to them. -
