Some supposed metalhead I have the joy of sharing a living space with dissed me once again for the fact that I like Disturbed. I don't know if it's because they aren't heavy enough or whatever, I could respect that at least if he didn't listen to f---ing dubstep. Personally I think what it boils down to is that people like him don't have any understanding of honesty in music. You can say whatever the hell you want about Disturbed, but their honesty and conviction in their art cannot be questioned. And if you have a problem with a band because you think they're too honest in the message they try to convey, you're a piece of s---. Dubstep sounds really f---ing shallow to me, it means nothing to me. It just sounds like music you play when you party or do drugs. I also discount my roommate's opinions somewhat because he claims to like progressive metal, but he has no respect at all for Dream Theater. Again, maybe it's because they aren't "brootal" enough, but those f---ers are talented as s--- and have made f---tons of great music. Sorry is they aren't as brutal as Meshuggah or all the mediocre Meshuggah ripoffs, but heavy isn't all that matters. Basically what I'm trying to say is that you should never be ashamed if music makes you feel something, and if someone tries to tell you you're wrong to feel that way, f--- their s--- up! I don't care what genre it is. I have yet to hear someone say that dubstep truly makes them feel something, but it is my sincere hope that it does and that someone will tell me it does. It means nothing to me, but if it means something to you other than dropping E, that's fine, and if some dickhead who doesn't understand that gives you s---, I will gladly assist you in ripping them a new a--hole.

Disturbed is good. He sounds like a used douche.

Diru would be too heavy for him. :I
He sounds like a metalhead wanna-be to me. -
No, the metal he listens to is definitely pretty heavy. Much heavier than Disturbed, which is probably more of a hard rock band with heavy metal influences. But chances are he'd say that Dir En Grey is hard to take seriously because they wear makeup. Which is bulls---. I don't care about a band's image, if they have the music to back it, who cares? Dir En Grey definitely has the music to back it up.

This is why I don't place myself in a certain group when it comes to music. All there is is argument over whether you deserve some label, and you can't just like what you like. I like things from Lilo and Stitch theme to Saku and stuff in between, like WoW theme music.

I feel ya bro, I live around plenty of a--holes like that and it really pisses me off.

They don't wear makeup anymore. They stopped wearing makeup and dressing fancy years ago. If they wear any makeup now it's theatrical effect to look scary.
Their start in the late 90s;
2011-2012;
Over time, they decided they didn't want to be grouped with untalented 'visual kei' bands, so they went all natural. The term 'visual kei' didn't even exist when they first started making music together, and in the years, they've experimented and tried multiple new things with music. In which, I love each and every song I've heard so far. Whether it's heavy or soft, I love the music with Kyo's complimenting voice. :B
So tell that foocha to stop being deaf. Makeup or not, Diru kicks serious ass. >_>
Hell, this when they were La:Sadie's and didn't have Toshiya. In his place was Kisaki, the original bassist.

Ermehgerd, Appay. >w>
Saku is one of my first Diru songs, and one of my top five picks.
