I also like: Alchemist, Mirror Throne, O.L.D., Khanate, Yakuza, Negura Bunget, Ved Buens Ende, Maudlin Of the well.
But I dunno what Metal Genre they are. -
tongue NewbieIron Maiden is what Power Metal was during their time. We could just as easily say that DragonForce is Neo-Power Metal. I know that's not a real genre, but it's a good moniker for them.
Also, there's something called the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, which includes every metallic hardcore band of the last 10 or 15 years, yet you divide that movement into genres. -
